I Heart Faces B&W Scenic Entry

Those of you following here and on Facebook have seen this one before. This photograph was taken with my little ol 5 megapixel kodak! I sort of like the randomness of the woman walking by- I think it adds perspective to the huge trees and the beauty of the building in the background. In case you're wondering, this is at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Fransisco. Pure bliss for my kiddos =) I had them try out my "ice cream social" idea and they were happy to help!

"Ice Cream Social" Themed Photoshoot

 I'm really enjoying coming up with theme idea for photoshoots. I think this works well, especially when photographing children. The kids actually have fun getting their pictures done! Imagine that! Themed shoots can begin with a favorite outfit or a special prop, and then the sky is the limit. How 'bout a hot air balloon shoot? anyone?
  The idea for this theme came from the antique ice cream sign at a friends house- almost anything can be used a prop, get in touch and I can design a custom photoshoot theme around something that is special to you!

Then comes a baby in a baby carriage....

State Fair Fun!

  The California State Fair is one of my favorite places to go in the summertime. The art exhibits ( which I did NOT get to see this year, sniff...) the animals, the rides, the shows, the fried food, the frying asphalt! I brought my Canon and got a few pictures to share. Enjoy!

Snapshot of Summer

  Summer is the best season.... warm nights, county fairs, a juicy peach from the farmer's market, the smell of coconut suntan lotion, yellow squash from Dad's garden, swim lessons, tri-tip sizzling on the grill, otter pops dripping down little chins, and lovely sunflowers....Summer is the best season.

Missing Anything?

This makes me laugh everytime I look at it :) We had missing tortoise signs up in our neighborhood a few weeks ago too! Hope you find your family little one-eyed pug!

Please Forgive Me Little Blog!

 I have been incredibly neglectful of my little blog, so sorry! The good news is- me and my new camera are becoming great friends, and I been working on various photography related projects while ignoring my little blog. Here is a recent family session, actually two families. The camera just LOVES these people! 

my goodness! I need a class on blogging....I can't even put my pictures where I want them....  ;)
