I Heart Faces Challenge "Slice of Life"

Sometimes I want everything to be perfect when I take a photograph, but there is something beautiful about the ordinary, the "averageness", the messiness of the everyday. A kitchen table is where life happens- I look at the clay pot with the bulbs we planted staring to grow, I see the candyland game that we have so much fun playing, I see the belt to a princess costume that gets used as a headband or to tease the cat...I see the lemons on the table to add cheer to a winter day, I see my girl in her handmade tutu worn confidently over her jammies...I see my life here, imperfect and beautiful.

♥ Heart Project ♥ 2011

I got a hair brained idea last year around Valentine's Day to do a "Heart Project", a photo a day from February 1-14 with a heart theme, so... its back, by popular demand folks! Here are some that were posted on Facebook last week. Look for more hearts till Valentine's Day!

I call this one "You're always on my heart". Morning glory leaves are heart shaped? Who woulda thought? I see hearts everywhere now... kinda annoying, just ask my close friends and relatives.

 Its really hard to make an M&M heart without eating the "set"... I don't see food styling and photography in my future... sigh.

"Lover's Tree" I found the coolest tree covered in carved hearts and initials!

My daughter's first trip to Yosemite, here she is overlooking part of the majestic Yosemite Valley. I think I could haved entered a photo of one of the adults on the trip as well...the grandness of Yosemite brings out the wonder in all of us. I Heart Faces "Smile" Entry

My Dad and my girls last Father's Day, while waiting for a table at Sizzler. I just love it...Look at the contentment and pride in his smile, its so my Dad. He loves his grandgirls. Then Alize' on the right, I'm pretty sure her smile says, "I'm up to something!" Lily, on the left, well we don't what she's doing!
